This initiative aims to kickstart lending activity and enhance crvUSD liquidity across key collateral markets. This initial allocation will be followed by an [additional 90,000 $OP grant](https://app.charmverse.io/op-grants/curve-lending-proposal-9157534743318139) directly from the Optimism Foundation, released upon reaching agreed-upon milestones and secured with the support of [**LlamaRisk**](https://www.llamarisk.com/), who played a key role in coordinating both funding efforts. LlamaLend was soft-launched on Optimism in the past year. With incentives now in place, it’s positioned to grow and scale lending activity. 🫀 In recent weeks of tariff rollercoasters and the corresponding performance of crypto assets, Curve's liquidation mechanism managed to ****save almost $6.5 million** ****through its novel liquidation mechanism**. Learn more about [LlamaLend](https://resources.curve.finance/lending/overview/) and its [liquidations](https://resources.curve.finance/crvusd/liquidations/) here. --- ### Bootstrapping Lending and Liquidity with 60,000 $OP A total of **60,000 $OP** will be distributed over a 7-week period to bootstrap both lending markets and on-chain liquidity for crvUSD on Optimism. The distribution is split evenly: - **30,000 $OP** will be directed to lending markets on [LlamaLend](https://curve.finance/lend/optimism/markets/). - **30,000 $OP** will go toward incentivizing key liquidity pools. This dual-track strategy ensures that borrowers have access to capital, while also deepening liquidity for the stablecoin across major trading pairs. ### Lending Incentives Incentives will be distributed across the following collateral markets on LlamaLend: - [OP](https://curve.finance/lend/optimism/markets/one-way-market-3/create/) - [CRV](https://curve.finance/lend/optimism/markets/one-way-market-4/create/) - [WBTC](https://curve.finance/lend/optimism/markets/one-way-market-2/create/) - [ETH](https://curve.finance/lend/optimism/markets/one-way-market-0/create/) - [wsETH](https://curve.finance/lend/optimism/markets/one-way-market-1/create/) Users who supply crvUSD to these markets will begin earning $OP rewards as soon as they deposit. Rewards will remain constant throughout the entire duration of the program. --- ### Transparent & Secure Distribution The distribution is fully automated via pre-programmed smart contracts, requiring no manual intervention. If needed, a governance mechanism allows the DAO to reclaim unspent funds and restart the program through a new vote.
