# Curve is live on Arc

A stablecoin network needs more than a way to issue and transfer assets. Once different issuers and currencies share the same network, they need liquid markets between them.

Curve is now live on [Arc](https://www.arc.io/), Circle’s new Layer 1 built for stablecoin finance and real-world economic activity. Arc uses USDC for transaction fees, reaches deterministic finality in under a second, and connects with Circle infrastructure including CCTP and Gateway.

Issuers can now launch efficient, automated pools on Curve that wallets, apps and other protocols can integrate, helping attract traders and liquidity providers.

## Built for onchain FX

As stablecoins expand beyond the dollar, pools connecting different currencies need to account for changing exchange rates. A EUR/USD pool behaves differently from one containing two dollar stablecoins, where both assets target the same value.

Different currency pairs also have different liquidity and trading patterns. Fees, liquidity concentration and rebalancing incentives therefore need to be tuned for each market.

Curve’s [FXSwap](https://news.curve.finance/fxswap/) is designed for these markets. The AMM combines a moving price reference with arbitrage-driven rebalancing, helping the pool adjust where its liquidity is concentrated as prices change, without requiring liquidity providers to reposition it manually.

Across five other networks, Curve already supports more than 20 active FX pools spanning 10 currency corridors.
